This site was created by Loyal Huntsmen and welcomes members of The Brotherhood of Sicarii, Orden der Valknut, Martin of Golin Chapter, and all other Hunting Orders, Apprentices, and anyone wishing to know more about the Traditions of the Hunt.
Please understand, this is NOT a fantasy role-playing site. This is the ground from which every true myth and archetype springs. We are direct Fraternal Heirs of the historic Hunting Orders which served with the Teutonic Knights during the Third Crusade. Hunting Orders, Guilds and Societies, and their Traditions, have been at the heart of every nation and culture since prehistory. The Code of Chivalry which arose in Medieval Europe is, in fact, the Code of the Hunt. This universal Code of Honor defined all the qualities of true and authentic manhood. The Traditions of the Hunt became the Rites of Passage for every knight, nobleman, and royal personage. It was by this Training and Initiation that True Manhood and authority was instilled and certified. "As the king judges the people, so the Huntsman judges the king." The Great Hunt is the Holy Grail of True Manhood which has been sought by various groups within the Men's Movement since the early 1990s.
"BOOK OF THE HUNT, INITIATIONS INTO THE LIFE OF HONOR" is our basic text. This is the first and only published account of our Traditions. It was created with the assistance and approval of the OdV. Robert Bly, author of the runaway best-seller, "IRON JOHN", upon reading a draft of "BOOK OF THE HUNT", petitioned to be Initiated into our Order. The Hunt is that important. The Hunt is that authoritative.
What began 800 years ago as a Hunting Order now finds its greatest opportunity in the need to restore True Rites of Passage to Western Civilization. Our Traditions encompass a great many legendary and mythical figures and concepts, placing them in their proper context and perspective. The Raven as Trickster, the Hanged Man, the tale of Parsifal, the god-who-limps, the one-eyed man, even Odin himself; we know who and what they really are. These Archetypes were all borrowed directly from our own Tradition. One doesn't have to engage in Hunting to benefit from the Wisdom of the Hunt and the accompanying worldview. The Initiation process is as effective for a nuclear physicist or a taxi driver. This body of knowledge, Wisdom and experience has never been lost, it has only been sorely neglected by the world at large. With publication of a written text, it is now possible to establish Free-Born OSKOREI Chapters providing all the attendant benefits and opportunities of an Apprentice without constant, direct oversight by a Master of the Hunt. However, one-to-one couseling is still greatly beneficial, and is available to those who request it.

THE LIFE OF THE HUNT
No synopsis can adequately describe the Life of the Hunt or prepare the reader for what he will experience. Book of the Hunt is history and legend, anthropology and myth; a "user's guide" to the Other World. It is instruction and guidance in the Protocols of the Initiation procedure and process, and it is a clear and present danger to the politically correct, psuedo-civilized/domesticated mind-set of the 21st century male. It is mind-altering and life-changing. It is a reintroduction to the life and world view of our Hunter Ancestors; the ONLY valid world view. Once the reader is fully acquainted with the Wisdom of the Hunt he can never go back. Indeed, what man would ever want to?!

Western Civilization is in steep decline; it cannot be saved, its problems are simply too great and too pervasive. Government, social engineers, and pop culture have nothing to offer. Besides, whatever life you have or choose, YOU will be the one who has to live it...not them! So why would you allow them to dictate what kind of life you will live and what kind of culture you will live it in?
The REAL WORLD still exists. It is unchanged. The Primordial Sanctity of Wilderness still flourishes. And the Primordial spark of your Hunter Ancestors still burns in your genes. All the joy, majesty, mystery, adventure, meaning and purpose of the Life of the Hunt is still accessible to you. It is your heritage, your birth right. Indeed, it already drives your natural desire to experience great things. All it lacks is the freedom to express your true and innermost nature. Initiation won't "make" you do or be anything, it only frees you from the artificiality of so-called "civilized" culture, allowing full expression of your True Masculine Humanity.
